Lifting beams
Lifting beams are auxiliary attachments for lifting equipment such as jib cranes and overhead cranes. They are usually made from I-beams with hooks attached at the ends. They have a simple design and are easy to use.
With our own production cranes and cranes we can offer a lifting beam tailored to your requirements with a capacity of up to 10 tonnes.
APPLICATIONS
They are used in heavy industry, metallurgy, shipyards, metallurgical plants, construction. All companies involved in production, as well as transport, benefit from this solution.
HANDLING
Traverses have the task of lifting loads in shape impossible to transport with a simple suspension. They are designed to work on long loads, which require several solid anchor points. They will also work wherever the height to the crane’s hook is too small to safely lift and handle the load.
They may also be used to suspend, sustain and transport body parts or rolling stock components such as wagon doors.
Traverses can also be placed on forklifts in the forklift – raising batteries, pulling components out of the machine, lifting heads, cable reels or elements with significant widths – applications can be as many as there are companies.
Very often, we will find them at BigBag bags.
To match the lifting beam to the operating environment as closely as possible, specialised models are available, including:
- of stainless steel
- of aluminium
- adjustable with automatic hooks.
ADDITIONAL OPTIONS
There are many possibilities for configuring traverses:
- adjustable lengths
- different quantities of fixing points
- additional point under the central ear
- higher number of hooks
- adjustable load coupling points
- triple, quadruple arm
- conversion of hooks to sabers mounted on a special connector
- methods of loading: hooks, welded hooks, holes, double holes
Different ways to suspend a lifting beam
- Central ear
- Suspension
- Central ear and suspension
- Extreme Ear
- Geared coupling
